Like uncoated kraft, it's a multipurpose material for plastic-free shipping and curbside recycling. Current applications are expandable kraft mailers.
Coating is made from feed stocks derived from fossil fuels.
Weighs more than alternatives in different applications (such as tissue paper for void fill and LDPE for mailers), so it can cost more to ship.
