Stainless Steel

Strong, dense metal that's resistant to scratching or warping

What is Stainless Steel?

A strong, dense, silvery metal. Steel becomes “stainless” when it’s protected from corrosion with the addition of alloy metals. Steel is an alloy, meaning it’s a combination of elements — steel and carbon.

Why choose it?

  • Tough and resilient
  • Harder than aluminum, less prone to warping or scratching
  • Often costs less than aluminum

Why not choose it?

  • Not resistant to corrosion
  • Not as malleable as aluminum or tin
  • Heavier than aluminum
