Screen Printing

Makes bright, opaque impressions on a wide variety of surfaces like corrugated, paper, film, and rigid plastic. Screen printing is a manual process, so it's ideal for low volumes.

What is screen printing?

Screen printing is great for printing on a wide range of materials, from paper and plastic to glass and fabric. It is most often used on glass and plastic primary packaging (like bottles and jars) and fabric bags (tote bags, fabric drawstring bags). For these products, there is equipment designed to handle detail, small text, and registering multiple colors.

Screen printing on materials or products that are not commonly screen printed (like corrugated boxes) involves more manual labor, so it is often more expensive than other print processes. It’s best for these designs that are bold and have fewer than 3 colors, as it isn’t as easy to register multiple colors.

Why choose it?

  • Can create opaque and durable prints

  • Suitable for low-volume production

  • Can be used on a wide range of materials and products

  • Can be used on textured and flexible materials like fabrics

Why not choose it?

  • Requires more manual labor than other processes, which increases costs

  • Clarity of small details can vary greatly, depending on the equipment and substrate

  • Registration has lower tolerances than other processes when printing more than one color
