Reverse Tuck End (RTE)

A longitudinal seam box with a top and bottom that tuck into opposite sides of the box.
Tuck top

Tucks in behind the front panel when closed.

Dust flaps

Keep dust from entering the box, and adds a layer to the unboxing.

Bottom tucks on opposite side

While this doesn’t give you the same clean front panel as an STE, it’s more economical because the design can be nested on a cutting die.

Why use a reverse tuck end?

A standard for folding carton, especially cosmetics, because it can be presented on a shelf and shipped. RTE is a more economical alternative to Straight Tuck End (STE) because the dieline allows for more boxes to fit on a sheet, wasting less material.
