Pump caps are typically used for lotions and other liquids that are more viscous than water, but thin enough to easily flow without clogging the pump. Pump caps come in various silhouettes, with optional ribbing for added grip around the cap. Stock options are typically white, black, or clear.
Inside a pump cap are various components to make the pump mechanism: a metal spring, glass ball, and various plastic parts. Since they're made from a combination of different materials, pump caps can not be recycled unless they're deconstructed. To give them a longer life, encourage reuse by letting customers opt out of pump caps on reorders.
