This guide explains how to create a quote for an item that requires specs.
If you already know the specs of your item, you can skip right to Creating Items, then you're ready to start quoting.
When you're starting a quote request, you'll be asked "Have you produced this item in the past?" If you choose yes, you'll be prompted to select the item(s) that you want to quote.
If you choose no you can fill out the packaging details, even if you don't have exact specs. Your quote request will be tagged "Packaging development."
In the Packaging overview field, you'll be asked to describe your project and how the packaging will be used. Here are some details you'll want to include:
Packaging type: Here, you'll select the type of packaging you are looking for. This helps the right suppliers find your project more easily.
Title: This is how your packaging item will be referenced to suppliers and in your own dashboard, so the more specific you are the better. For example: Spring '22 sweatshirt mailer, Medium candle box, Holiday '22 tape.
Finally, you'll enter quantity breaks and annual projected units. MOQs vary by supplier, and this information will help suppliers guide you to options for materials or printing that are feasible for your production timeline.
