Large orders (over 130 pounds) typically ship via freight carriers. Here's what you need to know about scheduling freight.
When you create a quote request, you have two options for shipping:
Some suppliers offer delivery and some don't. Even if you request freight in your quote, it's important to look out for the freight option that's actually offered by the supplier.
Note: If freight is not listed as an item on a quote, you are likely responsible for it. If you have questions, message your supplier on the quote.
To request that a supplier handle freight, create a new quote request and under Fulfillment, choose "Ship to a location."
When you receive quotes, you will see freight as part of the price breakdown if a supplier can accommodate freight shipping.
Tip: Double check the location details of your delivery locations to ensure the freight forwarder has the equipment they need for your shipment.
If you're going to handle freight, create a new quote request and under Fulfillment, choose "Pick up at manufacturer."
Before your freight forwarder arrives to pick up your shipment, they'll need a copy of your order invoice and a pack list which you can request from your supplier.
Tip: After freight is delivered to your warehouse, make sure to get a copy of the BOL (bill of lading) for your records.
