Empathy engineered a completely custom, scalable packaging system using Lumi.
To launch and start shipping, Empathy Wines needed a versatile system, to fit a variety of bottle shapes and quantities.
Producing high quality, affordable wine isn’t easy. Shipping it is even harder. Empathy Wines uses the Lumi Platform to engineer, source, and manage every piece of their packaging suite of their scalable packaging suite — from cards and stickers to boxes and inserts.
Wine is often shipped in molded pulp inserts which require costly tooling and limit the bottle shape. Since Empathy ships a variety of bottle shapes, they needed a versatile and cost-effective solution.
Empathy used Lumi Packaging Engineering to design a custom, stackable insert that protects any bottle in transit. The corrugated insert was carefully engineered and tested to be stackable for 6 and 9 packs.
Structural details like the handles and the drawbridge front end make the customer experience something really special. Bonus points: they the have freedom to mix and match bottle silhouettes and quantities.
