The new version of Lumi for Suppliers is now available and includes significant improvements for payments, user management and fulfillments. Let's dive in!

Faster payments

Settlement times for invoice payments have been significantly reduced. You can expect to receive bank transfers between 4 to 8 weekdays faster than before.

User management improvements

We've made it easier to add and remove users on your Lumi Supplier account. Go to Settings > Users to see the new view, or read our guide on inviting users.

Cancel fulfillments

You can now cancel fulfillments as long as the customer has not submitted payment on the associated invoice. This can be useful if you have accidentally submitted incorrect information, or a last minute change has been requested.

    Custom invoices (preview)

We are beginning to open new custom invoicing capabilities for payments that fall outside of the standard order flow. This type of invoice can be useful when you need to charge a customer for samples, expedited delivery, or other products and services that a customer may have requested outside of the standard quoting process.

If you would like to use the new custom invoices, please reach out to us!

The new version of Lumi for Suppliers brings a host of big improvements to help you tailor opportunity notifications, customize your profile page to receive more customers, and track the status of payments. Let's jump right in.

    Opportunity notification filters

You can now tailor Marketplace opportunity notifications with two new options in your Notifications settings:

    • Distance filter to limit notifications by distance from your locations
    • MOQ filter to limit notifications by minimum order quantity

    Profile Manager

The new Profile Manager allows you to edit the profile pages for your locations. Completing your profile page helps customers find you, and build trust in your capabilities. You can now easily add:

      • Photos of your facilities and examples of products you've made
      • Capabilities including products, materials and manufacturing processes
      • Certifications and memberships to associations
      • Company and sustainability information

      Billing improvements

The new Billing view brings all your invoices and customer payments into one convenient location. Now you can:

      • View and search invoices
      • Filter invoices by status
      • Download invoice PDFs
      • View payments for each invoice, with links to Stripe
      • Access the new Invoices tab on order pages

In addition, we've made it easier to reconcile your payouts by adding metadata to payments in Stripe. Each payment will now include all the reference information you need to match payouts to unique IDs for POs, invoices, and customers.

        Small fixes

        • Fixed a bug that prevented upload of documents when filenames contained forbidden characters

References help keep your PO numbers synced

The "reference" field on orders can now be edited after order submission. Previously you could only add it during the order creation flow, but now you can also leave it blank and edit it later. This is useful if you are creating your order in Lumi and want to match it to a PO in your ERP or other software.

        Edit order reference

The reference field can be used to identify an order by an internal number or naming convention that differs from the order number created by Lumi and will appear on invoices related to this order.

Additionally, we've fixed a bug that was causing some spec information to be missing from the Items page.

        Automatic payment flow

Previously, invoices were paid manually in your Billing section. Now we've automated the process to streamline your workflow.

        • Three days prior to an invoice’s due date you will receive an email notification reminding you that an invoice is due soon. The notification is sent to your billing contact and the person on your team who created the order.
        • Invoices that are unpaid three days after their due date are automatically paid using the default payment method on your account.
        • You will receive an email confirmation of the payment as well as a copy of the paid invoice.

You can continue to pay invoices manually through Lumi anytime before the invoice is automatically paid.

        Simplified order deposits

With this release we made it faster to get your orders into production.

Instead submitting the order and payment for upfront costs separately, all the upfront costs indicated in the billing schedule of your order will be automatically debited as soon as your order is accepted. You can set the default payment method in your settings.

        Billing schedule

When you submit an order, it will be reviewed to verify that all details are correct. If everything is good to go, your upfront costs will be automatically debited from the payment method of your choice. At this point, you will receive an invoice for your records as well as confirmation of the payment. If your order requires any changes before we can accept it, we will be in touch with you and no payment will occur.

Subsequent invoices for your order will continue to work as they did before.

        Analytics

Analytics are now available in Lumi! Analytics provides more quantifiable, measurable insights about your packaging supply chain. You can read more about this release on our blog.

We're starting with three report types:

        • Orders by product category. Data can be aggregated by spending (dollar amount), by volume (quantity of units), or by order count
        • Invoices by spending category. This includes items, shipping, tooling, overs and unders, etc.
        • Shipments by location

        Features:

        • Aggregate your data by month, quarter or year
        • Customize the date range
        • Drill down on a category by toggling it on or off

Fixed "No such token" bug causing payment methods to occasionally become unlinked from accounts.

Invoice PDFs are now attached to invoice notification emails so you can save it without having to log into your account.
